Another issue related to sample size is that among the participants, 53.0% were female, and since they were individuals still under adult care, 26.8% lived with both of their parents. Similarly, the selection criteria were based on volunteer by the participants with permission from their parents or guardians, and this also determined the sample size that the researchers ended up with at the end of the day. Moreover, there money was provided in exchange of participation, and given that these were students from low income families, this could have motivated the decision to volunteer, and thus, the sample size. Finally, there is the issue of low-income communities, which made the basis for the research, and thus, relates with the purpose of research.
